Overview

A classic trek in Nepal, the Annapurna Circuit Trekking lies in the western part of the country. The trekking trails lie in the Annapurna Conservation Area, which is rich in various flora and Fauna. Full itinerary

Day 01:  Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m).

Namaste and welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. Our company’s representative receives you at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Then, transfer to the hotel and rest. Walk around the local places in evening. O/N at Hotel.

Day 02:  Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.

After breakfast, we set off for the Kathmancu city sightseeing tour. We visit the famous Hindus and Buddhists’ monuments, which are also enlisted in UNESCO world heritage sites. They are Pashupatinath (the greatest pilgrimage site of Hindus), Bouddhanath (Buddhists’s Stupa), Swoyambhunath (Buddists’s Stupa) and Kathmandu Durbar Square (where the living goddes lives). Back to the hotel and prepare for the treks. O/N at Hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Syange (1330m). 7-8 hrs

After breakfast, we drive from Kathmandu to Syange early in the morning. It is a long drive by the ridge of Trishuli and Marshyangdi River. On the way, we can s several Himalayan views, forests and terraced rice fields. O/N at Lodge.

Day04: Trek to Dharapani (1960m). 5-6 hrs 

We begin to trek right after breakfast through the side of the Marshyangdi River. After walking gradually on the steep flat trail, we reach Tal. With the views of Tal valley and waterfall, we enter into the Manang district. Heading through the barley, potato fields and pine forests, and crossing the Nache, we reach Dharapani. O/N at Lodge.

Day05: Dharapani to Chame (2630m). 5-6 hrs

After breakfast, we trek further to Chame following the Dudh Khola, which come from the Manaslu region. The gradual walk offers the views of sub-tropical forest, gorges, terraced landscape and the surrounding panoramas. We reach Chame, the district headquarter of Manang and rest. O/N at Lodge.

Day 06: Chame to Pisang (3300m). 4-5 hrs 

We head through the sub-tropical forest, following the same trail after breakfast at the lodge. We cross the bridge twice on the trail. The views of local teritory, green hills and hilly gorges are spectacular. Gradually, we reach to the Pisang. O/N at Lodge.

Day 07: Pisang to Manang (3540m). 5-6 hrs

After breakfast, we walk following the stream. Now the trail becomes more desertive and the landscape is barren. From Pisang, we trek to the upper part of Manang. Crossing the Mungi, we reach Braga of Manang. It is a Tibetan Buddhists’ settlement, whose lifestyles are similar to the Tibetans and the rituals too. O/N at Lodge.

Day 08: Acclimatization day at Manang village.

Now we are entering into the high altitude region. We need proper acclimatization to walk over the 3000 meters above the sea level. On this day, we hike around the village and get magnificent views of the local area and the mountain views. O/N at Lodge.

Day 09: Manang to Yak Kharka (4050m), 4-5 hrs 

Today, we leave the Marshyangdi and steep climb up through the Tenki Manang that climbs up towards the Jharsang Khola Valley and the continual ascend leads to Yak Kharka. The vegetation starts to become very thin and bushy. Then we reach Yak Kharka, where the Yaks are grazing on the alpine meadows. O/N at Lodge.

Day 10: Yak Kharka to Thorung Pedi (4425m). 5-6 hrs 

After breakfast, we climb up for a couple of hours and trek down to the River. Then we again ascend towards the Thorung Phedi. It is a base for the upcoming climb up through the highest Himalayan pass in the world. O/N at Lodge.

Day 11: Cross to Thorung La pass (5416m) and descend to Muktinath (3800m). 8-9 hrs

It is our great day to cross the trail. After breakfast, we climb up gradually on the trail of Thorung Pass. It is a challenging Himalayan Pass and the highest Pass in thw world- Annapurna Thorng High Pass. From the top of the pass, we have an opportunity to view the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Lamjung Himalayan Range along with the Pisang Peak, Tilicho Peak, Tilicho Lake and many other thrilling views. Then we descend down to the Hindu and Buddhists’ sacred pilgrimage place- Muktinath. O/N at Lodge.

Day 12: Muktinath to Jomsom (2760m). 5-6 hrs

We wake up early in the morning and start to trek down. We visit again to the Muktinath temple and pray there. On our trekking down to the Jomsom, we meet several people making pilgrimage. Crossing the apple orchids and following the Ridge of Kaligandaki River, we reach to the Jomsom, wich is a district headquarter of Mustang district.

Day 13: Drive to Tatopani (1190m) by local bus/private jeep.

We drive today up to the Tatopani of Myagdi district. The rough road leads through the greatest gorge in the world- The Kaligandaki gorge. It takess about 6-7 hours off road drive and ultimately, we reach to the Tatopani. O/N at Lodge.

Day 14: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2810m). 5- 6 hrs

We enjoy the natural hot spring at the Tatopani village. It is helpful to cure many skin diseases. After breakfast, we continually walk through the Gurung and Magar ethnic settlements and reach at the Ghorepani, beautifully lies between the rhododendron forests. O/N at Lodge.

Day 15: Ghorepani – Poon Hill- Tadapani. 5-6 hrs

Wow, it is a huge day to hike up to the Poon Hill in the early morning. It takes about 45 min to reach the view tower. It offers the breathtaking sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif. Also the views of surrounding Himalayan peaks are dazzling. Then we climb down to Ghorepani, have breakfast and trek to Tadapani. O/N at Lodge.

Day 16:  Tadapani to Ghandruk and drive to Pokhara.

After breakfast, we descend down to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village. It is also known as the village of Gurkha soldier. We are warmly greeted by the local people and the views on its background are outstanding. Gradually, we descend down and catch a jeep and drive to Pokhara. O/N at Hotel.

Day 17: Pokhara Sightseeing.

After breakfast, we set off for the guided Pokhara city sightseeing. We visit Mahendra cave, Davis Falls, Seti gorge, international Mountain museum and other tourist spots. In the late afternoon, we ride the boat in Phewa Lake and enjoy the views of Fishtail on its background. Return back to hotel and rest. O/N at Hotel.

Day 18: Fly/Drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we drive to the airport and fly to Kathmandu. It is a half an hour flight to Kathmandu. Or we drive back to Kathmandu via Prithvi highway along the Marshyangdi and Trishuli River. The views are again superb. Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. We can visit around the local market in the evening. O/N at Hotel.

Day 19: Final Departure.
